Dr. Ogasawara graduated from Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University and later earned his PhD from the Graduate School of Kitasato University. He subsequently completed a residency in Veterinary Clinical Pathology at Cornell University in the United States.

He is currently affiliated with Ogasawara Dog and Cat Hospital in Aomori Prefecture while also serving as a clinical pathologist at IDEXX Laboratories, where he is involved in diagnostic pathology. In addition, he works as a clinical pathology advisor, supporting internal operations and educational programs for numerous veterinary hospitals across Japan.

His areas of expertise include small animal hematology, cytology, and oncology. He is also actively engaged in the clinical application of digital pathology and artificial intelligence, as well as in educational activities aimed at training the next generation of veterinarians.
