Hirofumi Takano

Dr. Takano graduated from Azabu University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and pursued further studies at the university’s graduate school, earning a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine in 2012. To deepen his expertise in cardiology, he honed his skills both domestically and internationally, obtaining the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) certification in 2017.
His career began as a Special Research Fellow for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, followed by academic and research roles at Rakuno Gakuen University and the Veterinary Medical Center of the University of Tokyo. From 2014 to 2020, he worked at JASMINE Animal Cardiac Medical Center as a staff veterinarian, specializing in cardiology with extensive experience in surgical, medical, and catheter-based treatments.
Since 2020, Dr. Takano has been serving as the Head of Cardiology at the Animal Medical Center for Specialized Medicine and Emergency Care. In addition to providing advanced cardiac care, he is actively involved in postgraduate education, mentoring interns and residents to advance the field of veterinary medicine.
