Dr. Epstein earned their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of California, Davis, and completed an anesthesiology internship at Kansas State University. They subsequently underwent a three-year residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at UC Davis, becoming a board-certified specialist in the field.
Currently, Dr. Epstein serves as a professor at UC Davis. Their primary research interests include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and antimicrobial resistance patterns in emergency and critical care settings.
