In this interactive, hands-on lab, participants will practice essential life-saving procedures commonly performed in emergency and critical care settings, including thoracocentesis, pericardiocentesis, central venous catheter placement, ultrasound-guided venipuncture/catheterization, and intraosseous (IO) catheter placement, using variety of training models. Participants will also discuss indications, contraindications, and potential complications, while learning valuable tips and troubleshooting strategies to enhance success in emergency settings.

In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamental principles and practical aspects of hemodialysis in small animal patients. Through demonstrations, guided practice, and case-based discussions, participants will gain experience in prescription planning and patient management. The workshop will also cover anticoagulation strategies, monitoring parameters, and troubleshooting of common complications. Led by experienced extracorporeal therapy specialists, this session offers participants a comprehensive understanding of how hemodialysis can be effectively performed in dogs and cats.
