Dr. Chie Ishii graduated from Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University in 2007, earning her D.V.M. She began her career as a clinical veterinarian at Teshigawara Animal Hospital in Tokyo, where she gained extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient care, as well as in performing surgical procedures. From 2010 to 2020, she worked with Royal Canin Japan as a Scientific Communications and Academic Affairs Specialist, providing nutrition-based education, developing educational tools, and creating publications to promote nutritional knowledge both within and outside the veterinary industry.

In 2020, Dr. Ishii joined the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where she pursued a residency in veterinary nutrition and a master’s program. She earned her Master of Science in 2023 and contributed to education and clinical activities through nutrition consultations and lectures at the university’s veterinary teaching hospital.

Since 2023, Dr. Ishii has served as a Veterinary Nutrition Manager for Royal Canin Asia Pacific, delivering lectures at academic conferences, universities, and government symposiums across the Asia-Pacific region to advance veterinary nutrition.

In 2024, Dr. Ishii will join Azabu University as a Specially Appointed Lecturer, where she will provide nutrition consultations at the university’s teaching hospital and deliver lectures to students.

Dr. Ishii has demonstrated exceptional expertise in veterinary nutrition and continues to contribute to the health and well-being of animals through her clinical experience, international academic work, and dedication to education and advocacy.
